I read so many tweets in last few weeks, girls are really impatient and excited about MAC In The Groove Collection.This is by far in my opinion most anticipated collection in 2010.

To be honest if i knew we would have this collection available in Pakistan i would have been as excited as any one else. But unfortunately like all other LE collections we wont be having this one too.

What it is:

 Its a  creamy compact foundation blending a radiant natural-satin medium-to-build able coverage with a silky feel. Yonno , i got dry skin ? no? then i am sure you haven't browsed through my previous posts. Its full of rants. :)

I bought this foundation, when i read on MAC , that M·A·C Select Moisture blend SPF 15 Foundation Provides dry skins with a smooth, high-comfort, moisture finish.

I repeat , its more suitable for dry skin because this is a hydrating, thick, moisturizing foundation.The main ingredients in this mu is sunflower seed oil, so it does smell a little like it. Nothing annoying, in fact i like the smell.

I have it in shade NC30.

M·A·C Select Moisture blend SPF 15 Foundation  is very smooth and looks dewy on the face.

The foundation compact can be divided in to three sections

1-comes with a mirror 

2-Foundation

3-and separate compartment for the sponge underneath

I prefer using my ELF powder brush when i am using this foundation,sometimes i use my coastal scents foundation brush, I avoid sponge because it just swipes the foundation off the face and i am not very good with the sponge application.I first purchased it in winters , when i asked my brother to get it fro me from London. I love it because it provides medium coverage and won't extenuate patches and dryness on my face. I used it in winters all the time.It was my HG foundation. 

Is M·A·C Select Moisture blend SPF 15 Foundation  being discontinued? I am not sure as i only saw one shade on http://www.maccosmetics.co.uk website and couldn't find it on http://www.maccosmetics.comI was so glad when i found that its now available in Pakistan too. So i  had to repurchase it.

It also has the SPF 15, better than nothing when your in a hurry or lazy bum like me ;)

When i first started using it i felt that it kind of feels like you have a sticky layer on your face. But with time 1- either i got the trick of applying it correctly

or 2- my face got used to it.

Over all It tends to get greasy a bit so if you have oily skin or hate greasy feeling ,or needs  more coverage , it might not be your piece of cake.

For me,M·A·C Select Moisture blend SPF 15 Foundation  is light and comfortable, even while it gives good  light to medium  coverage.

Okay this review is all gonna be rave ! rave ! and rave. Why? because what an awesome creamy concealer this is? AHAMMAZING.
 I love this concealer. It gives excellent coverage, Its waterproof , its creamy and it does stays put,not at all cakey, non-irritating for my sensitive skin, comes in a wide range of colors and is only Rs 600/- Yes you heard  read it correctly

 There are only one thing though that people might not like about the Art deco Camouflage Cream Concealer. It’s small,Really tiny, almost size of my thumb . But this isn’t a huge problem since as a  little goes a long way.So you would need a little for perfect coverage.
But again this con , could be a plus point as it small and so easy to carry around :)
I bought it from Alfatah DHA, Lahore, which had this last piece. But when next day i visited ENEM store liberty market Lahore, they had more shade options. So do check it out.

 Using the three step skincare regime from Liz Earle I have noticed a bit improvement with the condition of my skin, Its looking more clear and glowing.
I am gonna share my experience with three of Liz Earle products i received almost a month ago.
First is cult favorite

Cleanse & Polish Starter Kit

What It is?

Texture:

Its  thick white cream , but applies to the face with ease, it also smells amazing. 

I was sent this by the Liz Earle, along with the Instant Skin Boost Tonic from the range, so I’ve been using both products together,This product feels amazing on the skin and makes cleansing and removing make up super easy.

I also liked the muslin cloth, i used it couple of times, washed it and later i bought pure muslon cloth from market and i use that instead , it felt weird using same muslin cloth over and over again.Overall the cleanser cleans well and leaves your skin soft and radiant. Since this is a cream cleanser, it leaves my skin soft and hydrated,which is big plus for my dry skin. I like it better with the muslin cloth , because it exfoliate as i wash away the creamy cleanser. Together, Match made in heaven.

I Follow my cleansing with the Instant Boost Skin Tonic and Your favorite Liz Earle moisturizing cream  which is so far my favourite. It smells so clean and fresh.

Skin Repair Moisturiser - Dry/sensitive

What it is?

Okay have you ever used Mustard Oil (Urdu /Hindi sarson ka tel) ???, that's what this cream smells of after 10-15 mins of application,it doesn't have a strong scent at all but its still there. It does make your skin hydrated , bit greasy and soft to the touch. I am really happy with the result and now i am thinking of saving this cream for winter months when my skin can get very dry .

Deep Cleansing Mask Starter Kit

Texture:

A dark grey-ish brown colour,Creamy yet light, bit runny.

This is a good mask for problem skin.I have dry skin , but it gets oily(esp T zone) in summers,so its a good mask for me in this case. I get breakouts or pimples sometimes, nothing major , so i use this mask once in ten days or week, its quite runny ,i apply it all over my face , let it dry for 10-15 mins and rinse off. I noticed the difference right away , as skin was more fresh and felt so clean.Thought i felt tingling sensation for few seconds every time i applied.

Over all , i am imprresed with all the products i have used, I'm seeing an improvement day on day and am confident that things will continue to improve over time.

Coastal Scents Gel Liner- True Black Review

Coastal Scents Gel Liner- True Black

Shades Available : 25 rich in color Gel Liners are now available at Coastal Scents.

So i read this liner worked exactly the same as MAC’s Blacktrack fluidline except it is an even truer black. I don't own MAC version so i really cant compare.

It goes on very smoothly and a little goes a long way.Its quite Pigmented with Matte finish .:) I usually wait a little while for the first layer of liner to dry and then apply the second one, other wise you can streak or smudge the first layer and easy to remove with make-up remove.The staying power of Coastal Scents gel liner true black is  as good as my other gel liners.It does not smudge . Its not the creamiest gel liner i have used.

 I don't know its me or does this gel liner flakes a little?However, it does flake a little more compared to my ELF cream liner and Pop beauty hot pot liner( Review coming soon) .

 I love using it as makeup base and  it is really amazing as a base.

When it came it was all creamy , but now i feel its drying. really like gel liner, but unfortunately coastal scents true black dried up quickly. I dont know if my gel liner post was faulty or Coastal Scents Gel Liner is supposed to be this way?

 Overall, I think this gel liner is great! I'd definitely get more colors in future for eyeshadow base purposes But not as eye liner as i like my other black gel eyeliners better.

i wanted to try something bronzey and end up with the bright, glowy, bronze, and ready for summer Eyes. Its a pretty change for a smoky eyes makeup lover.

Small step towards bronzy gold eye makeup and a large step towards bronzy glowing summer face. Very original

You must be aware of my love for Korres Lip butters ,  i am having a love affair with my korres lip butterand i knew nothing could come between us

Korres Colour Mandarin Lip Butter Sticks SPF 15 are one of Korres's newly launched products. You can imagine my joy and surprise  when i saw them in mail few days earlier.

*Cuteness*

Lip butter that instantly hydrates and softens the lips. Shea butter and Sunflower wax deeply nourish and offer long-lasting care, while Mandarin oil conditions dry lips. Ideal for chapped lips.

Moisturising lip butter stick by Korres contains shea butter and sunflower wax with SPF 15

Ingredients  :

mandarin oil: refreshing, soothing shea butter wax: moisturising sunflower wax: anti-oxidant castor oil: nourishing, emolient vitamin e:anti-oxidant.

Shades/Color :  New Korres Colour Mandarin Lip Butter come in 6 different colours

• Peach,
• Pink, 
• Purple, 
• Rose , 
•   colorless with SPF 15 
• and lastly colorless.
   

I have them in Rose and Colorless  with SPF 15 

( I dont want to distract you , but did anyone notice my mole on lips? yes its right there? Pretty?)



As you can see , that colorless is not quite colorless, it tends to leave a white caste on the lips, makes sort of frosty looking lips.so its recommended to use a little and then spread it well using finger or lip brush or any method you fancy ( i use fingers) before applying more.This way it leaves a hint of nude / bare lips instead of ghostly white ones.If you don't apply it carefully as i already warned you , you can shock your friends or family , in my case my brother was speechless for 2 mins and then he started making fun of me.Boys?, eh!

But on the contrary , Rose is a uber pretty color, I have swatched it lightly , its bit darker in real.It smells so beautiful and looks stunning .

Korres Colour Mandarin Lip Butter Sticks are so soft to be applied smoothly on the lips and Oh so smooth. They are indeed moisturizing  more moisturizing than my favorite lip butter, and they give healthy shiny finish, not glossy.

Best part that it's a hard lip butter stick , because when i got it i was delighted to see , that it didn't melt in the tube,  Remember my Illasmaqua  products melt down tragedy, i am still recovering from that. So if you can tolerate Pakistan's heat , you are Glossicious approved.

Smell:  Not quite Mandarin( Kinno in Urdu) which is more of citrus-y but Rose one has pretty sweet floral smell  with hint of shea butter, and colorless one surprisingly  smells more of shea butter /cocoa butter though both have only little hint of smell, nothing strong.

Packaging: sturdy, the twisting mechanism works fine with out any hassle.Nothing fancy but minimal decor.

I am waiting for an Angel , to look down at me and Do a miracle and send my  lost NYX Cosmetics Rouge Cream Blushes.

So one day when i wake up i will get them in mail* I would be so surprised*
