January 2011 Favorites. - Makeup

Its time to do January favorites , time is flying , its almost 2nd month of 2011. I have been loving red lips, glitter shimmery nails ,  and quite unusually muted natural blushers. 

 Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Blush in Blushing Glow
 

I usually prefer bright blushers, which can give my face some pop of color. When i got this blush ,it didn't get much love from me . But now i am obsessed with it.It's absolutely matte.It's very nice and natural looking.The shade was different than my usual comfort zone , its goes beautifully with everything. I used usually when i wanted a bit of color on my cheeks as after foundation face could look bit blank.

Illamasqua Salacious 

Illamasqua salacious is a beautiful raspberry red.It glides on smoothly and they are really pigmented. Illamasqua salacious is a matt lipstick so dont forget to exfoliate and moisturize lipstick prior to applying or it can settle into fine lines. Read my full review with lip swatch here

Palladio Herbal Lip Gloss Dreamy

I was arranging my lipgloss stash and i found this hidden gem. I dont know why i stopped using them but let me tell you one thing Palladio herbal lipglosses are by far one of my favorites.I love the scent, which is mix of vanilla/cocoa. I love them. It looks amazing worn alone or paired with any lipstick.

Illamasqua Gleam Cream -Flex

One product which will rescue me from having a dull face day is Illamasqua Gleam Cream in flex. Its a fantastic creamy highlighter which is super lightweight and very easy to blend. I use it where i want , eyebrows, cheeks, forehead , and when i need extra perk i mix it with my light weight  foundation/tinted moisturizer and i am good to go.It is beautiful iridescent pink.

MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation 

I love my pressed powders , i always carry one in my handbag for quick fixes. and MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation is a full coverage . What i love about it that it doesn't looks cakey or heavy although it hides flaws with ease and doesn't accentuate dry patches.Mirror comes in handy as well. 

I bought this concealer a while ago when i was going through serious  ONLY mineral makeup phase. The phase was over but this concealer never lost its place in my heart. I would use it alone most of times but recently i started applying my o cream concealer first on any spor undereyes and then i take a bkending brush and seal it in place with the E.L.F. mineral concealer. It does an amazing job. 

Lotus Herbal Kajal

 If i was asked to take one makeup item with me to an island , it would be a kajal , not lotus but any kajal because i am such a kajal-holic . I found about lotus herbal kajal through my Indian blogger friend Cynthia, and i knew i had to have it . Cynthia came to rescue and she sent it to me. I love it , its black , smooth , pigmented , stays longer on waterline and its herbal.

Freeman Feeling Beautiful Pineapple Facial Enzyme Mask - Review

 I bought this mask during one of trips to Lahore. I saw it first on youtube a long time ago. But it never caught my interest but i saw it again in Potpourri DHA lahore and i just went for it because now i know what Facial Enzyme Mask/AHA means :)

Freeman Beauty Claims  : This enzyme mask, with Pineapple extract and AHAs, gently exfoliates while lightly moisturizing, leaving your skin soft, supple and younger-looking.

Suggested Usage:Apply generously to clean face and neck, avoiding eye area. Leave on skin for 10 minutes. Rinse well with warm water.Recommend: Use at least twice a week.

Let me start by saying that this mask includes a heap of natural ingredients like real pineapple, aloe and chamomile and also intensive ingredients for exfoliation including lactic acid, glycolic acid and of course the enzymes from the pineapple. Freeman Facial Enzyme Mask with Pineapple comes in a yellow tube but as well in squeeze tube with a large picture of a pineapple. I should have gotten the squeeze tube because its really hard to get the product from the tube i got.

 
This smells good, like pineapples. The texture is very unusual ,its grainy, like micro bead, it feels like jam texture wise. When i first squeezed it i loved how it felt ,it looked and smells like mashed pineapple,almost making me taste it. The consistency is pretty thick.

I like to massage it on my face after washing my face and then i leave it alone to dry. Suggested time is 10 mins but i leave  it on my face sometime more than 10 mins.Then i will spalsh water on face and massage it in circular motion and then wash my face. It dries clear and will tingl/ cooling effect a little but nothing major. When i wash my face i didn't notice any OH MY GOD kind of change but my face does look clearer and smoother.
If you dont know AHAs penetrate the dead surface cells of the skin, loosening the molecular bonds that attach them to the underlying tissues. The loose cells slough off, exposing newer skin.(source)

I forgot their exact price but I do think it was around rs250-350



Over all the price is right and the ingredients are great for the skin so its a pretty decent product so i will recommend to Freeman Feeling Beautiful Pineapple Facial Enzyme Mask a try.

Maybelline Superstay 24hr Foundation

I love my revlon colorstay foundation , but sometimes i could be heavy so i was as usual browsing different websites ( drugstore.com to be particular) , i came across Superstay 24hr Foundation from Maybelline . It caught my eyes , reason being that my makeup wears off quite quicky even if i am wearing a good primer underneath. So i usually prefer foundation/concealers which offer long pay off.

It is Originally $10.99-  $9.99 as per drugstore.com but when i got it , maybelline were on some kind of special offer i got it for  $6.99 . Right now drugstore.com is offering Buy 1 Maybelline face item & get the 2nd 50% off.

Smashbox , Too faced , Benefit -Haul

 I got Too faced beauty in a box from sephora..com when they were having their 20% friend and family sale. I wanted to try sephora's box beauty and this one caught my eyes because it had variety of products.

We told you about Smashbox Wish Holiday 2010 Collection sale  at Apothica , then i shared with you my lovelies that i had ordered Smashbox Cosmetics Holiday 2010 Wish List  Price: original $49.00 now  $39 .
