MAC Surf Baby Collection for Summer 2011

I am not a die hard Mac fan , but there always a one or two products in a new LE collection which catches my attention , like from Mac back to the beach i liked hipness blush & Marine Life: Multicolour Pressed Powder , from Give me liberty of London i liked the peach stock lipstick , from MAC Venomous Villains i loved a bite of an apple blush , anyways you get my idea. right?

I wasnt thrilled when i saw the promo image of MAC Surf Baby Collection for Summer 2011, the model , i am sorry to say looks scary and almost hideous . Sleek Makeup Face Contour Kit (Medium)- Review

What it is Sleek Makeup Face Contour Kit :  £6.50

A highlighter and pressed powder kit, which can be used to help sculpt and define one’s features. This product contains two powders.

The darker powder is used to create shadows on the face, such as defining the jaw line or contouring the cheekbones. The lighter powder is the highlighter, used to reflect light off the face and can be placed in various places such as the apple of the cheeks, the temple, the tip of the nose etc. 14g

I am no genius when it comes to contouring , and to be honest i wasn't in to it until i started blogging and taking 1000 pictures of me , or watched kandee Johnson's videos (which btw is an awsome guru)  , so i started looking for some products which can be used for contouring . I used to think that i can pretty much use any bronzer for contour , but i was wrong. I got to know with time that Matt contour powder is a way to go. I was bought my E.L.F Warm Bronzer only for this reason , but when i bought MAC studio fix powder plus foundation on NW45 , thats when i got hang of whole contouring thing.  

I got Sleek Makeup Face Contour Kit in medium almost a month ago . I used it in my face of the post [here] I couldn't be more happier. It made my life so much easier. It comes with a brown powder for  contour (matte)  and then the highlight (fine shimmer).

Sleek Makeup Face Contour Kit  comes in 3 shades for different skintones

• Medium 
• and Dark 

I am Mac N35 , and the contour powder works well for my skin tone, but if you are scared of over doing it , and a new to makeup , i will suggest you to start with the Sleek Makeup Face Contour Kit in light. I am naturally tanned,and have bit of dusky complexion so i stay away from red based powders .The brown is a matte in the kit , and leans towards warm and no signs of reds into it. The powder in contour kit has a nice texture doesn't feel powdery. It blends easily. 

Now the highlighter side. It's a very smooth, creamy and it looks so beautiful when applied its a peach beige powder with light gold fine shimmers. 

With Flash :

Natural Day light - Indoors

I quite like the whole Sleek Makeup Face Contour Kit . It comes with guide in the set,Which explains that how to use which powder where. In my opinion you dont to need to contour on daily bases. I only do it when i have some wedding ,party to attend. ALWAYS choose a cream or powder that is just 2 shades darker than your skin- any darker, and it looks unnatural. If you dont know where to apply contour powder , suck your cheeks in and look in the mirror for the best places to apply it.If you find that you’ve done too much contouring, counter it by applying more neutral foundation or powder over the top and then add color to tone it down. Do this shaping before you begin applying color. One thing you should always remember is to blend thoroughly.

Dream Mousse by Maybelline Blush Soft Plum -Review ,Photos & Swatches

Not being a real fan on Maybellines Dream Matte Mousse Foundation I'm not too sure what made me purchase the Dream Mousse Blush but Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush is so pretty and it like glides like a wonder just bought it and i personally love it , the only poor thing is that it doesn't last as long as powder.It has shimmer , Personally, I like the sparkle in the blush for night outs , but this might put some people off.

The Product

Maybelline's Dream Mousse Blush is the perfect addition to the Maybelline's Dream Collection. The Dream collection is a 'revolutionary' air-whipped product that promises to give you a natural radiant look, with perfect coverage and that satin-soft feel we all love.

The shade I have are 40 soft plum & 02 Coral

Its easy to blend and just by adding little by little you can get the intensity required. Even if I'm having a 'no make-up day, just  a couple of dabs of this keeps me looking alive and glowing! It can give a really flawless, professional looking finish if applied properly.Only need to dab your fingers in the pot, not scoop out a lot. Easy to vary the intensity of the color. Lovely feel to the skin after applying, non greasy. Gives a slight shimmer. You can get streak marks of you do not blend properly.I use my fingers to apply this blush as I am no expert on makeup application and brushes, so this is a quick alternative to all those expensive brushes that could cost more than the product you want to use.Packaging is so cute ,it comes in a small glass jar like all the other Mousse products from Maybelline. It is small so you can carry it around in your bag or when you go traveling.

I would recommend this to anyone who is experimenting with blush and wants to try something different but isn't willing to shell out for the higher end brands.I would suggest this product to people who have an even complexion, because I have noticed that it does not look so great on uneven skin textures. It might sink into your pores trust me, so not a good look. But this happens with most cream blushes.

 I have swatched the Turqouise Nail Polish and an check out the Sleek Makeup Nailed - Nail polishes  Pastel Pink  when it was featured in Glossicious's picks for the best pink nail polish for Valentine's Day

you cthe application of the Nailed Lilac was bit different.I loved the shade , and it took only two coats to get the opacity i wanted but the application of this nail polish was bit streaky. I had to work little harder to get the it right.They do last few days , infact i havent noticed any chipping but tipwear is pretty normal as my nails grow kinda fast . I will suggest using a good quality top coat. ( My recommendation Seche Vite Dry Fast Top coat ) .
